In the afternoon of 19 March 2024, the Consulate General in Nanning, in collaboration with Investment Office based in Guangzhou and CCPIT Guangxi Committee hosted Malaysia Promotion Event in Nanning. The event received an overwhelming response, attracting over 100 companies and media friends to participate in the event.
In his remark, the Consul General highlighted Malaysia’s conducive business environment and the Government’s initiatives to enhance the country’s competitiveness. He also explained the Government’s economic priorities, including investment promotion in the focused sectors, and the country’s vision on clean and sustainable energy.
Mr. Safwan Nizar Johari, Acting Investment Consul of Malaysia in Guangzhou shared Malaysia’s investment figures for the year 2023 and the latest updates on the country’s investment opportunities and important policies in his speech. The event also provided a comprehensive presentation on the role of MIDA, Malaysia’s investment incentives and supporting measures.
During the event, the Consul General also had an interview session with Guangxi Radio and Television. He said that Malaysia welcomes more investors to explore the investment and business opportunities by looking at Malaysia as the profit centre in ASEAN.
The event was ended in a productive Q&A session. Also in attendance were Ms. Yang Yanyan, Chairperson of CCPIT Guangxi Committee and Secretary-General of CABIS Secretariat.
