Deputy Prime Minister II and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation Dato’ Sri Fadillah Yusof’s Meeting with Chinese Vice President Han

In the morning of 17 September 2025, YAB Deputy Prime Minister II and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah Haji Yusof held bilateral meeting with Chinese Vice President H.E. Han Zheng at the sidelines of the 22nd CAEXPO and CABIS, in Nanning, Guangxi.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and Vice President Han reaffirmed the excellent state of bilateral relations and welcomed the initiatives of promoting multi-faceted cooperation in economy, trade, energy, water resources, tourism, and other fields.  

Both sides agreed that Malaysia and China should maintain close high-level exchanges, work with each other to implement the important common understandings reached by the leaders of both countries, and jointly advance the building of a Malaysia-China community with a shared future.

Later in the evening, the Deputy Prime Minister held meeting with H.E. Wei Tao, Governor of Guangxi Government. Both sides discussed ways for Malaysia and Guangxi to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including in trade and investment, green energy, water resources, digital economy, artificial intelligence, and the “two countries, twin parks” flagship projects – namely Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park and China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park. Following the meeting, the delegation were hosted to a dinner by Governor Wei at Liyuan State Guest House. 

Also present at the meetings were H.E Dato’ Norman Muhamad, Ambassador of Malaysia to China, Dato’ Mohd Rodzwan Mohd Baba Sakri, Deputy Secretary General (Water) of the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, Mr. Ahmad Phadil Mohamed Ismail, Consul General of Malaysia in Nanning and other senior officials from Malaysia.
