The Consulate General of Malaysia in Nanning and Education Malaysia in Beijing co-hosted a cultural and educational exchanges activities with 40 students from Guangxi University for Nationalities (GXUN) at the chancery on September 12.

During the opening remarks, Consul General Azlimi bin Zakaria encouraged the students to learn and master the language of Bahasa Melayu and improve their translation/interpretation skills via taking practices at some international platforms like China-ASEAN Expo; expand their visions and enhance their understanding about Malaysia and its culture through various sectors, such as literature, music, dancing, food, mobility programmes and travelling.

The session of Malaysian food cooking demonstration sparked the students’ interest to further explore Malaysia after tasting the tasty dishes made from Musang King durian.

The exchange activities have provided a good opportunity for the students to gain better and more visual understanding about Malaysia’s education and culture.

Also present the event were Education Counsellor from Beijing Mr. Abdul Aziz How Abdullah, First Secretary from Malaysian Embassy in Beijing Mr. Jason Choy Min Sheng, First Secretary Ms. Nur Hidayah Kamarudin, Director of International Cooperation and Exchanges Division, GXUN Mr. Feng Guanghuo and his colleagues.
