In the morning of 31 October 2024, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail participated in the Flagship Course on Effective and Sustainable Healthcare Financing, at the Glory Charm Hotel, Fangchenggang City.

Organized by China’s National Healthcare Security Administration (NHSA) in collaboration with Harvard University, the event focused on sharing China’s practice on volume aggregation in procurement of medicines and consumables. It also included a presentation on the international structures, types and tactics for pooled procurement by Professor Prashant Yadav who is a globally recognized scholar in the area of healthcare supply chains.

During the event, the Consul General managed to engage with scholars from Harvard University and officials from NHSA. They exchanged information on the difference of healthcare security system between Malaysia and China.

In the afternoon, the Consul General attended a meeting session with officials from Guangxi Healthcare Security Administration, Fangchenggang Government and NHSA, and continued further discussions on facilitating medical and healthcare cooperation involving ASEAN and Guangxi.
