Hari Keluarga Malaysia Madani Event with Malaysian Diaspora and Students in Guangxi held in Nanning

On 22 November 2025, the Consulate General of Malaysia in Nanning hosted Hari Keluarga Malaysia Madani Event, at Meilinanfang, Nanning.

As part of the Malaysia MADANI concept that aimed at building a more inclusive, fair, and progressive society, the event was held to foster communication and strengthen engagement between the Malaysian community in Guangxi.  

The event was attended by over eighty participants consisting of officials and staff of the Consulate General, as well as Malaysian diaspora, family members and students in Guangxi.

In his remarks, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail expressed appreciation for their presence and support to this event. He also emphasized the importance of the role of the Malaysian community in promoting Malaysia-China friendly relations.

The participants were savoured with Malaysian dishes and delicacies, namely satay, traditional kuih, cendol and hot-pot prepared by local Malaysian restaurants, as well as creamy Musang King durian and Malaysia snacks such as Julie’s.

A series of interactive fun games, namely Journey of Pearl, The Caterpillar Game, Dragon Boat Game, and The Happy Quadruplets was held that added more excitement to the gathering. The event also featured painting session for the kids to unleash their creativity.   

The event was a great success. It was more than just a gathering, but provided the Malaysian community an opportunity to reconnect, honor shared heritage and foster a sense of belonging.
