In the morning of 07 March 2025, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail had an interview session with Guangxi Daily, at the Chancery.
The Consul General showed his attention to the China’s “two sessions”, in particularly the target set and new initiatives to be introduced by the government in 2025 to energize the economy, as China has not only been a strong economic partner to Malaysia, but also to ASEAN countries.
The Consul General welcomed China’s opening-up development initiatives. He stressed that Malaysia will continue to attract more investment from China to Malaysia, and enhance engagement with China in areas of renewable energy, advanced manufacturing and digital economy.
Taking this opportunity, he highlighted the remarkable progress made in Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park over the years. And he urged both sides to make collaborative efforts to get the engagement of more Malaysian companies to the iconic project of China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park.
Given to the significant role of CAEXPO in helping SMEs and products from ASEAN gain access to the big Chinese market, he reassured that Malaysia will continue to actively participate in the upcoming session this year.
