Malaysia's DMasKing® Brand Lands in Nanning

In the afternoon of 13 May 2025, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail officiated the ribbon-cutting ceremony of a durian-themed flagship store selling Malaysia’s D-Masking brand, at the South Square of Nanning East Station.  

The flagship store, known as “Durian Big Brother”, was an e-commerce entrepreneurship project jointly between Malaysia DSR Taiko Berhad and Guangxi International Business Vocational College, with the view to explore a new path for the the integration of industry and vocational education.

During his interview with Guangxi Radio and Television, the Consul General emphasized that Malaysia has been committed to promoting bilateral multi-faceted cooperation including agricultural sectors between the two countries. Malaysia’s durian was known for its premium quality since its first exportation to China in 2010. He highlighted that Malaysia will continue to maintain quality-first strategy for its durian products and other featured agro-produce, ensuring more Chinese consumers to understand and love Malaysia’s durian.       

Also in attendance were Mr. Mohamad Haris Abdul Latiff, Trade Consul of Malaysia in Guangzhou, officials from MATRADE HQ, representatives from Guangxi International Business Vocational College.
