In the morning of 22 August 2024, Consul General Mr. Phadil Ismail paid a courtesy call on Mr. Miao Hong, Secretary of Leading Party Members’ Group and Chairman of CCPPIT Guizhou Committee at the latter’s office in Guiyang, Guizhou.
During the meeting, the Consul General received briefing from Mr. Miao on the engagement between CCPIT Guizhou Committee and Malaysia in recent years. Considering the huge growth potential in Guizhou, he stressed that the Consulate General is working to help promote Malaysian business community to shift their focus to western part of China. He then shared that Malaysia would like to organize a business event in the province in 2025, in an effort to fostering closer economic and trade collaboration with Guizhou.
Both sides welcomed more practical engagement with each other in the future, and exchanged views on the potential for Malaysia and Guizhou to complement each other’s growth and economic development.
