On 27 May 2025, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail held a meeting with Ms. Cao Kedi, Level II Bureau Rank Official of Guangxi Department of Commerce (DOFCOM), at the Chancery.
The Consul General extended his appreciation to Ms. Cao for inviting him to the “ASEAN Fruits Gather in Guangxi: Facilitating and Enriching the RCEP Shopping Experience” Event, which will be held on 18 June 2025 in Nanning. He stressed that the Consulate will support DOFCOM’s initiatives in promoting ASEAN products into Chinese market. In terms of its signature fruits, such as durian and jackfruit, Malaysia has been focusing on quality over quantity and will continue to work with China to bring more Malaysian premium agro-produce to the people of Guangxi and China. The Consulate will also continue to engage with DOFCOM to expand the trade collaboration between Malaysia and Guangxi.
