On 17 March 2025, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail met with Ms. Wei Yu, Deputy Director General of Guangxi Foreign Affairs Office, at the Chancery.
The Consul General was briefed by Ms. Wei on the outcomes of her visit to Malaysia in mid of March 2025 in preparation for the proposed visit of the Governor of Guangxi to Malaysia in April 2025. He then welcomed the upcoming working visit of the Governor as it will pave way to expand cooperation with Malaysia in areas of AI and digital economy.
Both sides also exchanged views on issues of mutual concern and further reaffirmed the need for both sides to continue to enhance engagement, and promote closer relations between Malaysia and Guangxi.
