As one of the side-line events of the 18th CAEXPO, a promotion conference on upgrading China-Malaysia “Two Countries, Twin Parks” partnership was held on 11 September 2021 in Nanning.
We encourage more companies from China and Malaysia to launch their businesses and invest in Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP) and China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park (CMQIP) and take the two parks as gateways to expand their business in ASEAN market and Chinese market, said Datuk Lim Ban Hong, Deputy Minister of Malaysia’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) during his video speech.
He also hoped that Malaysia and China could enhance collaboration in palm oil, rubber, bird nests, durian and other competitive products; enhance the complementarity in industrial chain and supply chain to further boos the trade relations between the two countries.

Mr. Azlimi Zakaria, Consul General of Malaysia in Nanning also attended the physical conference and delivered a speech. He said, both governments should continue to build competitive twin parks that could attract more local and international investors and businesses.
He also suggested for Guangxi to tap into the structured collaboration through the Malaysia-China Five-Year Program for Economic and Trade Cooperation (2021-2025); and proposed that the twin parks initiative complement and integrate within the larger framework of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP)
