NANNING, 12 January 2020 – The opening ceremony of Guangxi’s 3rd Session of the 12th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Guangxi Committee and 3rd Session of the 13th People’s Congress of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region were held separately in Nanning City on 11 and 12 January 2020.
Guangxi Governor Mr. Chen Wu delivered the government’s work report of 2019 as well as plans for 2020 at the 3rd Session of the 13th Guangxi People’s Congress on 12 January 2020.
“2020 is a milestone year for us as we endeavour to achieve our goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and to complete our 13th Five-Year Plan. We will follow the general principle of pursuing progress while ensuring stability. Guangxi aims to expand its GDP by 6 to 6.5 percent this year with the main priorities being deepening market reforms and advancing opening-up” Chen said in the report.
