Tree-Planting Event Hosted by GDEE to Tackle Climate Changes

On 26 March 2026, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail participated in the 2026 Planting Low-Carbon Forest, Together for a Shared Future event at the Qingxiu Mountain Park in Nanning. The event was graced by H.E. Sui Guohua, Vice Governor of Guangxi People’s Government.

Launched by Guangxi Department of Ecology and Environment (GDEE), the event served as the region's efforts to advance green development and promote environmental sustainability, amid the escalating challenges posed by global climate change.

Following the tree-planting event, the Consul General emphasized in a media interview, the significance of the initiative. He highlighted that it not only raises the public’s awareness of ecological and environmental protection while promoting a green and low-carbon lifestyle, but also serves as an important platform for deepening practical cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in areas such as ecological conservation, green economy, and climate governance.
