On 16 November 2022, at the invitation of Guangxi Office on Planning, Construction and Management of Beibu Gulf Economic Zone (Guangxi Beibu Gulf Office), Vice Consul Mr. Airi Kurniawan Nuridjal attended joint field visit to Qinzhou and Fangchenggang City.

The objectives of the trip were to observe the operations and development of the port in Guangxi, and to explore more channels to enhance cooperation between Malaysia and Guangxi in economy, trade and many other sectors via leveraging on Guangxi’s geographical location and relevant incentives, such as new western land-sea corridor, the new entry into force of RCEP and Guangxi’s pilot free trade area.

During the meeting, the Vice Consul expressed that Malaysia welcomes China to import more Malaysia’s quality products and other bulk commodity such as palm oil via Qinzhou Port.
