On 06 July 2023, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail welcomed Mr. Zhuang Yan, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Bureau, Qinzhou Port Area of China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, at the Chancery.
The discussion focused on boosting collaboration between Qinzhou and Malaysia in new material, agricultural products and other sectors, in particular in the “two countries, twin parks” initiative, which is a government-to-government flagship cooperation project between Malaysia and China. The Consul General called for efforts from both sides to further facilitate the development of the twin parks and sister ports in Kuantan and Qinzhou and fully leverage on the mechanism of the Joint Cooperation Council meeting.
