On 13 March 2025, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail met with Mr. Miao Jian, Deputy President of Beibu Gulf University, at the Chancery.
The Consul General welcomed the progress made by the University in international exchanges and cooperation with universities from Malaysia. He also welcomed the initiatives of fostering AI academic cooperation and students’ engagement between the University and higher institutions from ASEAN through hosting AI-themed competition for undergraduate students.
Both sides also exchanged views in finding ways to promote the application of AI in marine engineering, aquaculture, smart agriculture and smart shipping.
