On 16 May 2025, Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail held a meeting with Ms. Zeng Ling, Vice Mayor of Beihai Municipal People’s Government, at the Chancery.
The Consul General was briefed by Ms. Zeng on the upcoming launching ceremony of the EnOWa Professional Tourism Competence Recognition Platform, which will be held on 25 May 2025 in Beihai City. The platform will be able to provide a range of smart and customized services, spanning from travelling route, transportation to accommodation, for tourists. Similar platforms have been launched in many provinces and cities across the country, becoming a new tool to promote the industrialization and high-quality development of regional tourism.
During the meeting, the Consul General emphasized that Malaysia welcomes more tourists from China to visit Malaysia, especially during the celebration of Visit Malaysia Year 2026. Both sides also discussed new ways to promote cultural and tourism cooperation between Guangxi and Malaysia.
