On 29 August 2025, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail held a meeting with Mr. Liu Xiang, Deputy Director General of Guangxi Department of Commerce, at the Chancery.
Both sides discussed the major activities hosted by the Department during the 22nd CAEXPO and CABIS period, with focus on the 2025 China-ASEAN Silk Road (Cross-border) E-commerce Open Cooperation Promotion Event and the RCEP High-Level Dialogue on Economic and Trade Cooperation, scheduled on 17 September 2025 in Nanning.
The discussions also touched on enhancing exchanges and cooperation between Malaysia and China in the sectors of green energy, AI and electric vehicles.
