On 26 September 2025, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail met with Mr. Zhou Yan, Deputy General Manager of Guangxi Beibu Gulf International Port Group Co., Ltd, at the Chancery.
The Consul General was briefed by Mr. Zhou on the company’s engagement with Malaysia over the years, in particularly the progress made in Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP), Kuantan Port and the promotion of Malaysia’s premium durian in China’s market.
The Consul General commended the positive momentum of MCKIP cooperation and encouraged the expansion of its successful business model to other Malaysian industrial parks to benefit more locals. Furthermore, he voiced support for the company's role in promoting Malaysian products and welcomed its initiatives to tap into the potential for cooperation across various sectors.
