On 26 January 2025, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail conducted a site visit to China-ASEAN Halal Service Centre (CZHC). The Centre is a subsidiary of China Zhenhua Import and Export Co., Ltd, a state-owned foreign trade company based in Beijing.

During the meeting with Mr. Huang Zuhuo, General Manager of CZHC, the Consul General was provided with an overview of the company's profile, core business operations and development plans, with special emphasis on its engagement with Malaysia on halal certification.

The Consul General highlighted that Malaysia's halal logo is widely recognized in the world, especially in West Asia and Europe. He then expressed support to CZHC in its halal endeavours. He further encouraged CZHC to continue its engagement with JAKIM, Malaysia's halal management authority, while urging CZHC to adhere strictly to halal requirements and standards set by JAKIM in order to maintain its market credibility.
