During his call on Vice Governor H.E. Tan Pichuang, the Ambassador was briefed on the general information of Guangxi and the region’s major collaboration with Malaysia since 2023. Both sides reaffirmed the strong bilateral relations, underpinned by regular high-level exchanges of visits and growing people-to-people ties. Both sides also exchanged views on ways to step up substantial collaborations in different sectors, in particular to upgrade the Malaysia-China cooperation flagship project of “Two Countries, Twin Parks”.
Noting that 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Ambassador expressed that Guangxi could fully serve as gateways to enhance economic linkages between China and Malaysia, as well as China and ASEAN, moving forward.
