

NANNING, 3 August 2019 – Officials from the Consulate General of Malaysia in Nanning, together with officials from MATRADE and MIDA offices from Guangzhou visited China Post, branch Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on 3 August 2019. The visit came upon the invitation of Mr. He Beizu, Vice General Manager of Guangxi Post after he paid a courtesy call on Mission on 30 July 2019.
At the regional level, Guangxi Post’s main focus is to encourage and promote more business activities between China and ASEAN Member States. During the visit, Mr. He also mentioned that Guangxi Post is currently working on the importation of bird’s nest from 33 Malaysian producers. Next in line, Guangxi Post would be interested in importing Malaysia’s durians. Malaysia was recently granted approval to export whole frozen durians to China. Previously, only frozen durian pulps were allowed.
The visit is also one of the initiatives from the Consulate General of Malaysia to explore future cooperation between Malaysia and Guangxi in order to promote more on Malaysian products in China.
