Ms. Farah Rakesh, Consul General of Malaysia in Xi’an, attended the Hanova Model United Nations (HANMUN) IV programme on 8 June 2026. The event also featured participation from students of Maple Leaf International School and Xi'an Liangjiatan International School (XLIS).

In her remarks at the HANMUN IV, Ms. Farah Rakesh delivered a compelling call to young leaders, emphasising that peace, stability and prosperity are the true foundations of a thriving world. She highlighted that through engagement in diplomacy and strategic negotiation, students will have the opportunity to experience how global challenges such as health crises, conflicts and environmental threats can be addressed. This experience helps them develop essential skills to contribute to resilient, inclusive societies.

The MUN programme is more than a simulation. It is a vital stepping stone for future leaders to cultivate their abilities, inspire change and lay the groundwork for lasting peace and shared prosperity. The future of the world depends on their growth, and together, they can help shape a more harmonious tomorrow.
