NOTES TO MALAYSIAN TRAVELERS TO CUBA

Towards ensuring the smoothness of your journey to Cuba, kindly ensure on the following:

To sent an email to the Malaysian Embassy in Havana (mwhavana@kln.gov.my), on your intention to visit Cuba (kindly include your flight itinerary & accommodation details;
To ensure on the validation of your passport (MORE than 6 months upon entry into Cuba);
On Visa/Tourist Card Requirement: Malaysian who is in possession of a valid passport, NOT required to obtain a visa or a tourist card in order to enter Cuba for a period of 90 days);
To complete the Cuban Health Declaration Form (https://dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu/inicio) at least a week BEFORE your arrival in Cuba. Kindly download the completed form into your mobile. The softcopy document must be handy for inspection upon your entry at Cuba's International Airport;
To declare to the Customs if you bring cash MORE than USD10,000; and
To obtain a Travel/Health Insurance (Advisable)

Additional Information:

To bring along sufficient cash (USD), personal medicine, personal care items as well as ready to eat food items;
Debit/Credit Cards (issuance by the US banks WOULDN’T be accepted);
Be aware of your surroundings;
To keep your valuable items and personal documents safely;
To check weather forecast from time to time before your arrival to Cuba
To ensure the hotel/Airbnb have in-house generator and water tank (Daily scheduled blackouts are a norm in Cuba);
Limited number of halal restaurants in Cuba; and
To Exchange money into Cuban Pesos (CUP). kindly approach your hotel or the airport. The exchange rate differs on daily/weekly basis.

To complete the free electronic entry and exit form as required the Dominican Republic’s Government (https://eticket.migracion.gob.do)
To declare with the Customs authority if bring cash more than USD10,000
Travel/Medical Insurance (Advisable)
Credit cards are well accepted in the Dominican Republic
To bring along sufficient cash, personal medicine and personal care items.
To stay vigilant with surrounding.

Towards ensuring the smoothness of your journey to Nicaragua, kindly ensure on the following:

To inform the Malaysian Embassy in Havana, Cuba on your presence via email (mwhavana@kln.gov.my), inclusive with your flight itinerary & accommodation details
Passport valid MORE than 6 months upon entry into Nicaragua
Visa Requirement (Malaysian who is in possession of a valid passport, NOT required to obtain a visa or a tourist card in order to enter Nicaragua for a period of 30 days) https://visalist.io/nicaragua/visa-requirements/malaysia )
To fill out a form issued by the General Directorate of Migration and Foreigners (DGME) at https://solicitudes.migob.gob.ni/ and send it via email to solicitudes@migob.gob.ni at least 7 days BEFORE arrival.
Customs officials may ask travellers to show a return or onward ticket and proof of sufficient funds to cover the stay.
Travel/Medical Insurance (Advisable)
Credit cards are well accepted in Nicaragua
To bring along sufficient cash, personal medicine and personal care items
Travellers coming from a PAHO or WHO defined risk area for active transmission of yellow fever, must present an international vaccination certificate at entering the country, as issued by the competent health authority and valid for at least 10 days when the person arrives.

Passport valid MORE than 6 months upon entry into Jamaica

A completed and signed Immigration/Customs C5 Form https://enterjamaica.com/, either online or a physical form (to be submitted at the port of entry)
To declare to the Customs if bring cash more than USD10,000
Travel/Medical Insurance (Advisable)

(Travel insurance is no longer required for travellers visiting Jamaica; however, travellers are highly advised to have one).

To bring more than one credit/debit card (issued by different banks) and sufficient cash (preferably USD which are widely and almost universally accepted there)
To bring sufficient personal medicine and personal care items
Jamaica is open for travel. NO quarantine is required on arrival to Jamaica

Towards ensuring the smoothness of your journey to The Bahamas, kindly ensure on the following:

Passport valid MORE than 6 months upon entry into The Bahamas

Travel/Medical Insurance (Advisable)
USD is on par with the Bahamian dollar and is accepted all over the Bahamas
(Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and most debit cards are widely accepted)
To bring sufficient medication for the trip. If planning to bring medication, travellers are advised to check if they are legal in The Bahamas.
To stay vigilant with the surroundings
An oral baggage declaration is required for all visitors travelling with only used personal belongings. If they are carrying other items, a Baggage Declaration (C17) form via the Exempt App . All valid receipts for declared items are required.
