In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, H.E. Ambassador Cheah Choong Kit hosted an Iftar (break fast) for the Malaysian Muslims residing in Finland including staff of the Embassy and their family members at his official residence on 23 August 2011. The iftar was also attended by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Malaysia H.E. A. Kohilan Pillay and his family as well as diplomats from the Indonesian Embassy.
The term iftar refers to the evening meal (after sunset) when Muslims break their fast during the Islamic month of Ramadan.
