A reception to celebrate Malaysia’s 55th Independence Day was hosted by H.E Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Zainal, Ambassador of Malaysia to France and wife Puan Sri Dato’ Hajjah Rositah Md Mawi at the Rumah Malaysia on Friday, 28 September 2012.
More than 400 guests attended the function, among whom were members of the diplomatic corps, Defence Attachés of various embassies, senior officials of the Quai D’Orsay, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs; French Defence Ministry; other Ministries; representatives of international and regional organizations as well as captains of French business and industry.
Malaysians living in Paris together with their families as well as Malaysian students also participated in the event. The reception to celebrate Malaysia’s National Day was well attended and has indeed met the objectives to promote closer camaraderies and “muhibbah” among Malaysians in France.
