ETIAS
According to the communication by the EU, ETIAS will start operations in the last quarter of 2026. No action is required from travellers at this point. The European Union will inform about the specific date for the start of ETIAS several months prior to its launch. Please note that, Malaysian Emergency Travel Document (foreign ETD) will not be accepted to register UK ETA and ETIAS from 2025 onwards. Therefore, ETD can only be used for one way to return to Malaysia.
