6th WORLD CHAMBERS CONGRESS
3 - 5 JUNE 2009, KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

The World Chambers Congress will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 3-5 June 2009.  Hosted for the first time in Southeast Asia, the Congress is the only business event that brings together chambers of sizes and nationalities.

Held every two years, the World Chambers Congress has established an enviable reputation as the place where chamber and business leaders get to know international peers and share experience and best practice on grassroots issues that have a direct impact on the chamber of commerce community.

Organized by ICC's World Chambers Federation (WCF), the World Chambers Congress is the only international forum open to the global community of over 12 000 chambers.

Chamber delegates from at least 100 countries are expected to attend the 6th World Chambers Congress in Kuala Lumpur, which will feature an opening address by the Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry.

Delegates come together from as far as Afghanistan, Algeria, Australia, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Democratic Republic of Congo,  Ecuador, Fiji, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Mongolia, Nepal, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and Uganda.

The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) is the host chamber of the 6th World Chambers Congress in 2009. This will be the first time the Congress will be held in South East Asia!

Chambers have lined up to host this Congress until 2015.  For more information on the 6th World Chambers Congress, the Website and contact address are as follows - www.KL2009.com, enquiries - wcc2009@fmm.org.my or contact the Congress Secretariat at +603 62761211 (attention to Ms. Esther Boey or Ms. Angelina Lim).
