On Friday, 13 November 2015, there had been a series of attacks in central Paris resulting in casualties. As of 14 November 2015, there are no Malaysians reported to be injured or deceased resulting from this incident.
The Embassy of Malaysia in Paris would like to advise Malaysians in France, especially in Paris to remain vigilant, take extra precautions, be aware of surroundings, and follow the advice of local authorities.
The Government of France has announced a state of emergency in France. This means that security has been increased to the maximum level and security forces have been mobilized throughout the country. Following this directive, there is now increased presence of law enforcement officers and armed forces in France, particularly in Paris. Border controls have also been tightened. Travel via airports, rail links, and road transportation remain operational but expect more security measures and some delays due to heightened security scrutiny, checks, and measures.
