COFFEE MORNING MALAISIE-PARIS IN SPRING WITH ASEAN, JAPANESE AND KOREAN LADIES - 25 APRIL 2012

 YBhg. Puan Sri Dato’ Hajjah Rositah Mohd Mawi, wife of the Ambassador of Malaysia to France and President of Ladies Association of the Embassy of Malaysia in Paris (Perwakilan), hosted a lively coffee morning with the wives of ASEAN, Japanese and Korean  Ambassadors in Paris. The event was held at Rumah Malaysia on Wednesday, 25 April 2012 in conjunction with Malaysian Ambassador to France, H.E. Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Zainal, assuming the chairmanship of the ASEAN Committee Paris (ACP) from February to May 2012.  

 

The highlight of the Coffee Morning was an exciting cultural dance, the ‘Zapin’ performed by members of Perwakilan Paris followed by a fashion show, also cat-walked  by the Perwakilan ladies showcasing  colourful Malaysian batik prints.

 

Besides the cultural event, paintings by Paris-based Malaysian artist Ken Yang were also displayed to the guests with the personal presence of Ken Yang himself. The artist who graduated from the Malaysia Institute of Arts now lives and works in Paris and had exhibited his works in the City of Lights since 2003.

 

A variety of delicious, tasty and spicy Malaysian delicacies prepared by Perwakilan Paris was also served to the guests. While savouring the meal, the guests were entertained by a cello recital by Mr. Jerome Pinget from the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra.

 

The Coffee Morning hosted by YBhg. Puan Sri Dato’ Hajjah Rositah Mohd Mawi had indeed fostered the good relations and camaraderie among the ASEAN, Japanese and Korean embassies in Paris.
