On 18 September 2018, HE Dato’ Dr. Azfar Mohamad Mustafar, Ambassador-Designate of Malaysia to France, received a courtesy call from Dato' Sri Dr. Mohd Uzir Mahidin, Chief Statistician of Malaysia who was in Paris for the 16th International Association of Official Statistics (IAOS) Conference which was held from 18 to 21 September 2018 at the OECD Conference Centre in Paris. He was accompanied by two officers, Ms. Kanageswary Ramasamy, Director of Balance of Payment Statistics Division and Mr. Azizul Abllah, Assistant Director of Price, Income and Expenditure Division. Dato’ Dr. Azfar and the delegation exchanged views on Malaysia’s participation in the OECD and its importance in promoting policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of Malaysians in general.
In the evening, Dato’ Dr. Azfar hosted a dinner at “Rumah Malaysia” (the official Residence of the Ambassador) to welcome the delegation. It was also attended by the Permanent Delegation of Malaysia to UNESCO, Dr. Anesee Ibrahim and heads of departments represented at the Embassy.
