H.E. Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Zainal, Ambassador of Malaysia to France, attended the Harvard Club of France and Harvard Kennedy Chapter partnership event held in Paris on Wednesday, 18 January 2012. The event was organized by the Academie Diplomatique International (ADI).
The guest speaker at the event was Professor Joseph Nye, Professor at Harvard and Founder of the ‘Soft Power’ theory. Considered as one of the world’s most influential thinkers, Professor Nye was in conversation with Mr. Serge Schmemann, Op-Ed Editor of the International Herald Tribune on “Power Shifts in the 21st century”.
The Academie Diplomatique Internationale is an independent policy institute founded in 1926 dedicated to promoting modern diplomacy and contributing to the understanding and analysis of the emerging dynamics in international affairs. Based in Paris, the ADI convenes conferences, seminars, public debates on contemporary issues, conducts training programmes in modern diplomacy, and provides other services to the Paris-based diplomatic, business and foreign policy communities.

Le conférencier invité était Joseph Nye, professeur à Harvard et théoricien de la ‘Soft Power’. Considéré comme l'un des penseurs les plus influents au monde, le Professeur Nye débattait avec Serge Schmemann, rédacteur en chef de la page éditoriale à l'International Herald Tribune, sur les “rapports de forces au 21ème siècle”.
