The Parisian edition of the Islamic Fashion Festival (IFF) was held at the Four Season Hotel George V, Paris on Monday, 23 September 2013.
The event, graced by HRH The Sultanah of Pahang Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom, were also attended by Malaysian royalties including HRH The Crown Prince of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra, HRH The Crown Princess of Perlis as well as HRH Raja Puan Muda Perak Raja Nor Mahani Raja Shahar Shah.
Other distinguished guests were Dato’ Sri Raja Rezza Shah, Founder & Chairman of Islamic Fashion Festival; Dato’ Mirza Mohammad Taiyab, Director General of Tourism Malaysia and HE Datuk Evelyne Genta, Ambassador of the Principality of Monaco to the United Kingdom and Head of IFF Council for Europe.
CSI actor Gary Dourdon appeared on the catwalk at Paris’ Islamic Fashion Festival luncheon, where designers Hoda Haddad and Hindi Mahdi of Paris, Tom Abang Saufi, Jonathan Liang and Kraftangan Malaysia of Kuala Lumpur and Ghea Panggabean of Jakarta unveiled their latest designs and collections.
The Islamic Fashion Festival is an event created to promote the beauty of Islamic fashion as stylish and wearable to an international audience.
Under the distinguished patronage of YAB Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of the YAB Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, IFF was first presented in November 2006 in Kuala Lumpur.
To date, IFF has been presented in Indonesia (Jakarta, Bandung, Bali and Palembang), Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the UAE; Singapore; Astana, Kazakhstan; Manila, Philippines; Monte Carlo; New York and London.

Islamic Fashion Festival arrive à Paris
Pour la première fois, cinq stylistes sont venu présenter leur vision de la mode musulmane, le 23 septembre à Paris, dans le cadre du premier ‘Islamic Fashion Festival’.
Cet événement à été créé par Raja Rezza Shah, membre de la famille royale de Malaisie. C’est en 2006 qu’il se lance dans l’aventure de l’IFF pour ambition de «construire une référence culturelle et visuelle d’un Islam en liaison avec le monde moderne, dissocié des luttes politiques, économiques et sociales, et céci via la mode ». L’IFF a déjà permis d’organiser permettant de présenter plus de 300 sylists dans les pays d’Asie du Sud-Est, d’Asie Centrale, du Moyen-Orient, d’Europe, et plus récemment à New York et Londres.
Cette édition parisienne 2013 a permis de découvrir Ghea Paggabean créatrice indonesienne, Hindi Mahdi créateur palestinien basé à Paris, Hoda Haddad créatrice marocaine ainsi que les créateurs malaisiens Tom Abang Saufi et Jonathan Liang.
