MALAYSIA AIRLINES COMMENCES PARIS JOURNEY
WITH A380 FROM MARCH 1, 2013
Malaysia Airlines will launch its second Airbus A380 destination with the start of a daily superjumbo service between Kuala Lumpur and Paris from March 1, 2013.
The Malaysian flag-carrier, already runs two daily A380 flights to London and seeks to bolster its European presence thanks to the Paris-bound superjumbo. This will replace the current Boeing 777 used by MAS for the KL-Paris run, not only substantially boosting the number of seats (from the 777's 282 seats to the A380s 494 seats) but also introducing MAS first class to the route.
The A380 sports eight First Class seats on the main deck, each with a pitch of 89 inches and convertible into a full flat bed of 87 inches length and a width of 40 inches. Each seat also boasts an individual 23-inch in-flight entertainment screen with personal closet and stowage for coat, luggage, laptop and personal belongings.
First and Business Class Customers flying to Paris will also cherish the premium chef-on-call service which features various meal options ranging from Malaysian favourites, international cuisines, chef’s recommendations and also light and healthy choices. Customers can pre-book a chef-on-call meal by contacting Malaysia Airlines 24-hour Call Centre or visiting a MAS office.
Since first entering service in 2007, the A380 has exceeded all expectations, flying more people further at lower cost, while significantly reducing carbon emissions. The spacious, quiet cabin and smooth ride have also made the A380 a firm favourite with passengers. Malaysia Airlines received its very first A380 last July, becoming the 8th in the world to fly the world’s largest and most eco-efficient airliner.
Paris is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in the world. The city is rich with historic associations and is predominantly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design. MALAYSIA AIRLINES: PARIS-KUALA LUMPUR EN A380 A PARTIR DE MARS 2013
C’est à partir du 1 mars 2013 que Malaysia Airlines déploiera un Airbus A380 sur la liaison quotidienne directe reliant Kuala Lumpur à Paris.
La compagnie malaisienne propose déjà deux vols quotidiens en A380 entre Kuala Lumpur et Londres et souhaite renforcer sa présence européenne grâce à la ligne Kuala Lumpur-Paris en superjumbo. Ce dernier remplacera les Boeing 777 utilisés jusque-là pour les vols KL-Paris, ce qui va non seulement augmenter considérablement le nombre de sièges (passant de 282 sièges avec le 777 à 494 sièges avec l’A380) mais aussi permettre à MAS de lancer sa Première Classe pour cette ligne.
En effet, l’A380 bénéficie de huit suites privatives en Première, avec un espace de 2,26 mètres, un siège convertible en lit de 2,21 mètres, un écran individuel de 58,4 centimètres, un espace de rangement afin d’y disposer manteaux, bagages cabine, ordinateurs portables et effets personnels.
La Première et la Business pourront également profiter des services d’un chef, qui préparera aussi bien des plats malaisiens qu’internationaux, proposera ses suggestions et pourra cuisiner des plats légers et sains. Les clients auront la possibilité de pré-réserver leur menu en contactant le centre d’appel 24/24 de Malaysia Airlines ou se rendre à une agence MAS.
Depuis son entrée en service en 2007, l’A380 a dépassé toutes les espérances, réduisant notamment les émissions de carbone. La tranquillité des cabines et la stabilité de l’appareil ont séduit les passagers. Malaysia Airlines a reçu son premier A380 en juillet dernier, devenant ainsi la huitième compagnie à mettre en service le plus grand et le plus écologique avion du monde.
