On June 19, 2017, a Malaysia-France seminar was organized at Paris Air Show 2017. The welcoming remarks was delivered by Mr. Bertrand Lucereau, Chairman of the Aero-SME Committee. During the remarks, he noted the strong partnership between Malaysia and France in the aviation and aerospace industry, both for civilian and military applications, had been buoyed by the involvement of both governments. The workforce of Malaysia was also praised Mr. Lucereau and he hoped many more would be attracted to job opportunities in this high value globalized industry.
At this increasingly important global aviation gathering, H.E. Datuk Ibrahim Abdullah, Ambassador of Malaysia delivered the keynote address. He spoke about Malaysia’s respect for the Paris Air Show, status of Malaysia’s aerospace and aviation industry, flagship undertakings that have been a boon to the industry, and strategies as well as plans of the Malaysian government for the industry.
