Monaco, 24 June 2014 - H.E. Tan Sri Ismail Omar, Ambassador of Malaysia to France, presented his letter of credence to His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, Sovereign Prince of Monaco on Tuesday, 24 June 2014. The ceremony took place at the Palace of Monaco. H.E. Tan Sri Ismail Omar was accompanied by Mr. Zamshari Shaharan, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy.
Following the presentation of credentials, H.E. Tan Sri Ismail Omar was introduced by HSH Prince Albert II to H.E. Jacques Boisson, Secretary of State to the Prince; H.E. Georges Lisimachio, Chief of Staff of Prince’s Office; and H.E. Jose Badia, Minister of External Relations of Monaco. H.E. Tan Sri Ismail Omar then had a tête-à-tête audience with HSH Prince Albert II.
H.E. Ambassador Tan Sri Ismail Omar, together with the other newly accredited Ambassadors from Greece and Cuba, attended a pre-lunch cocktail hosted by H.E. Jose Badia who mingled around the new ambassadors and Monegasque officials. The ambassadors were then feted at a lunch hosted by Mrs Mireille Pettiti, Director General of the Department for External Relations and Cooperation of the Ministry of State, at the Hotel De Paris of Monte Carlo. Others in attendance were Mr. Zamshari Shaharan, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy; Madam Marie-Catherine Caruso-Ravera, Director Department for External Relations and Cooperation; Madam Anne-Marie Boisbouvier, Counsellor of HSH Prince’s Office; Mr. Panayotis Touliatos, Honorary Consul of Greece and Mr. Stephane Giaccardi, Secretary General of the Chamber Economic Development of Monaco.
