MALAYSIAN AMBASSADOR TO FRANCE
PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO FRENCH PRESIDENT
The newly appointed Ambassador of Malaysia to France, H.E. Dato? S. Thanarajasingam, presented his credentials to the French President, H.E. Mr. Jacques Chirac on Friday, 8 September 2006. The ceremonial event took place at the Elysée Presidential Palace in Paris.
H.E. Dato? S. Thanarajasingam is the 14th Malaysian Ambassador to France since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1958.
H.E. Dato? S. Thanarajasingam was accompanied to the Elysée Palace by the Counsellor of the Embassy, Miss Tengku Azamiah Tengku Abdul Majid and Defence Attaché, Captain Musa Omar. The presentation ceremony was also attended by senior French government officials from the Elysée Palace and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Following the presentation of credentials, H.E. Dato? S. Thanarajasingam had an audience with the French President H.E. Mr. Jacques Chirac.
In the evening, H.E. Dato? Thanarajasingam hosted a reception at Rumah Malaysia in conjunction with the credential ceremony. The reception was attended by senior government officials from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heads of the Malaysian agencies in Paris as well as the officials from the Malaysian Embassy.
