H.E. Ambassador Tan Sri Ismail Omar joined Malaysians in Paris to celebrate The Year of the Goat at a traditional Chinese New Year lunch organized by the Malaysian Association in France (MAF) on Sunday, 15 February 2015.
More than 150 MAF members with family and friends attended the luncheon, held at Elysées Bonheur Restaurant located near the chic Champs Elysées avenue.
This year’s Chinese New Year celebration among the Malaysian community in France however did not go without thought for flood victims in Malaysia. MAF managed to raise €1436 from tombola tickets sales as well as cash donation at the amount of €1750 from generous well-wishers to help Malaysians affected by the recent worst floods in the country.
