HBS vs LRS
The Embassy of Malaysia?s annual sporting event, the Malaysian Games 2009 was organised from 14 to 18 May, 2009. Three sporting activities namely table tennis, volleyball and bowling were organised this year.
The participating teams comprised of the home-based staff (HBS) and the locally recruited staff (LRS) of the Malaysian Embassy and other Malaysian agencies in Paris. H.E. Ambassador Dato? S. Thanarajasingam, the Malaysian Ambassador to France and H.E. Dato? Kenneth Luis, Permanent Representative of Malaysia to UNESCO joined the teams during the Games.
The objective of the sports meet was to foster closer fellowship and goodwill amongst the staff. This year the HBS made a clean sweep, winning all three games to emerge as this year?s winner of the Malaysian Games 2009.
