H.E. Datuk Ibrahim Abdullah, Ambassador of Malaysia to France, presented his letter of credence to HSH Prince Albert II, Sovereign Prince of Monaco on Thursday, 13 July 2017 at the Palace of Monaco. Other Ambassadors who also presented their credentials on the same day were H.E. Mr Kritján Andri Stefánsson, Ambassador of Iceland, H.E. Mr Alvaro De Soto, Ambassador of Peru and H.E. Mr. Ismail Hakki Musa, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey. All four Ambassadors are based in Paris.
Following the presentation of credentials, Datuk Ibrahim Abdullah had an audience with HSH Prince Albert II. On the occasion, both sides were able to discuss issues of mutual importance as well as the current situation and future direction of Malaysia. In order to boost relations between both countries, potential areas of cooperation were also identified.
Datuk Ibrahim Abdullah then attended a working lunch hosted by H.E. Gilles Tonelli, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Monaco in honour of the newly appointed Ambassadors.
H.E. Datuk Ibrahim Abdullah is the third Malaysian Ambassador to be accredited to Monaco since the formalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries in November 2009.
