The Embassy of Malaysia in Paris hosted a luncheon meeting for Malaysian professionals and students in France on Saturday, 16 June 2012. The luncheon was held to introduce the Malaysian government’s Returning Expert Programme (REP), meant to promote and facilitate the return of Malaysian professionals from overseas as well as the Scholarship Talent and Retention (STAR) for JPA scholars to serve their scholarship bond at key Malaysian companies that support the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) policy.
The meeting was indeed an opportunity for Malaysians professionals and students based in France to be updated on the REP and STAR, organised by TalentCorp Malaysia Bhd to pursue brain gain and retaining talent in Malaysia. A wide range of questions were fielded by the participants and satisfactory replies were given accordingly by TalentCorp’s team led by Ms. Sherene Azra Azli, General Manager of Talent Corp’s Malaysian Diaspora Outreach.
The Paris meeting was part of the agency’s roadshow in Europe for face-to-face engagements with Malaysians based in the continent. Similar meetings are also scheduled this month in Lille and Nice.
