he Ministerial Conference on the Fight against Terrorist Financing, the Other War against Daesh and Al-Qaeda at the OECD headquarters on 26 April 2018 was preceded by discussions among experts in combatting the financing of terrorism from within States and invited organizations; and the finalization of the final declaration for the Conference by negotiators. Malaysia was represented by the Embassy of Malaysia in Paris. Pn. Ilham Nursyiqim Rosli, Counselor; and Mr. Ong Tze Shen, First Secretary, rounded up the delegation that was led by Pn. Farisha Salman, Counselor.
When closing the international conference set up on his own initiative, Macron called for better cooperation to deprive jihadist groups of funds and means to operate. The events from the start of the day beginning from the keynote speeches by OECD SG; Professor Peter Neumann, King’s College London; François Molins, French Public Prosecutor; and the subsequent roundtables chaired by Gérard Collomb, Minister of the Interior; Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs; Nicole Belloubet, French Minister of Justice; and Bruno Le Maire, French Minister of Economy and Finance reinforced the message delivered by Macron.
