Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) and the French National Graduate School of Engineering and Research Center of Caen (ENSICAEN) signed a university cooperation framework agreement on 20 December 2013.

Among the 80 overseas students who joined Ensicaen this year, three are from Malaysia. One is a PhD student and the other two are preparing a Master’s degree in nuclear engineering.

In this context, a Malaysian delegation led by His Royal Highness The Crown Prince of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, visited Ensicaen to check the environment in which the Malaysian students are studying. The visit was also an opportunity to find out about the training and research potential offered by Ensicaen for future collaboration in the fields of monetics and secure transactions.

‘By signing such a comprehensive agreement to work together, our students, in their turn, will be offered the possibility to go and work in their research laboratories so that they can improve their English’, commented Head of Ensicaen International Relations Department Chantal Gunther.

The École nationale supérieure d'ingénieurs de Caen & Centre de Recherche (ENSICAEN), which translates as National Graduate School of Engineering & Research Center, is one of the French "grandes écoles ", whose main purpose is to form chemical, electronical, and Computer science engineers (with a level "bac+5").
