On 22 January 2018, the ASEAN Ambassadors in Paris including H.E. Datuk Ibrahim Abdullah, Ambassador of Malaysia, visited Station F. Mme. Paulina CARMONA and M. Henry SIMONIN from the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs joined the Ambassadors during the visit.
While at Station F, the Ambassadors were able to learn more about Station F through the briefing provided by both Mme. Bettina BOON-FALLEUR, Visits and Events Manager and Mme. Rachel Vanier, Communications Director. During the briefing, it was conveyed to the Ambassadors that Station F gathers a whole entrepreneurial ecosystem under one roof. Occupying a 34,000ft2 building, Station F is accessible 24/7 by the thousand start-ups that are housed there. Relevant French government authorities are also placed there as well as partner offices including Facebook, Vente Privée, Daphni, HEC, Kima Ventures, Ventech, TechShop.
Station F also prides themselves on being a unique, international, all-inclusive start-up space. There is diversity among the start-ups housed in Station F as the budding entrepreneurs are from a various age range. Furthermore 25% are from the international community and 40% are women. With the competitive selection process, only 8% of applicants have been successful in being offered full-time residency and admission to the Station F programs.
After the briefing, Ambassadors were given a brief tour of the Station F start-up campus.
