The Honourable Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa, Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia, arrived in Paris on Sunday, 25 October 2015. The Chief Secretary of Government was accompanied by wife Puan Sri Rohani Abdullah; Dato’ Norazman Ayob, Senior Private Secretary and Ms Eunice Yeo Huan, Special Functions Officer to the Chief Secretary of Government.
During his short stay in Paris, the Hon. Chief Secretary paid a visit to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The Hon. Chief Secretary was accompanied by Mrs. Anil Fahriza Adenan, Chargée d’affaires a.i. and was received on arrival at the OECD by Mr. Rolf Alter, Director of Directorate for Public Governance and Territorial Development at OECD. During the visit, the Hon. Chief of Secretary was presented with a discussion on “World-class Civil Service” and “Digital Governments” by OECD officials from the Reform of the Public Sector Division. A bilateral meeting with the OECD economics directorate chaired by Mr. Alvaro Pereira was also one of the agendas during the visit.
On the same day, the Hon Chief Secretary attended a town hall session with officials of the Embassy and Malaysian-government sponsored students in Paris. During the meeting, the Hon. Chief Secretary gave a briefing on the latest situation and current developments in Malaysia.
The Hon. Chief Secretary left Paris on Monday, 26 October 2015.
