YB Dato’ Wira Othman Aziz, Deputy Minister of Finance I undertook an official visit to Paris from 23 to 25 January 2018 to attend the ‘Committee Meeting on Fiscal Affairs (CFA) and Inclusive Framework (IF) on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS)’ held at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) headquarters in Paris on 24 January 2018.
On the same day, YB Dato' Wira Othman Aziz, accompanied by the Malaysian delegation from the Ministry of Finance, had a bilateral meeting with Mr. Pascal Saint-Amans, Director of the OECD’s Centre for Tax Policy and Administration. YB Deputy Minister of Finance I also had a bilateral meeting with Mr. Valere Moutarlie, Director, Direct Taxation, Tax Coordination, Economic Analysis and Evaluation, European Commission.
Additionally, YB Deputy Minister of Finance I signed an agreement entitled 'The Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (The Multilateral Instrument)’ at the OECD Paris headquarters.
Earlier on Tuesday evening upon his arrival, YB Deputy Minister of Finance I attended a dinner hosted by H.E. Datuk Ibrahim Abdullah, Ambassador of Malaysia to France at Rumah Malaysia.
