YANG DI-PERTUA NEGERI MELAKA
IN PARIS FOR THREE-DAY VISIT
The Yang DiPertua Negeri Melaka, His Excellency Tun Datuk Seri Utama Mohd Khalil Yaakob arrived in Paris from Caracas, Venezuela on Saturday, 23 June 2007. His Excellency Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob and his wife Toh Puan Dato? Datin Seri Utama Zurina binti Kassim were received on arrival at the Charles de Gaulle airport by Malaysian Ambassador to France & Portugal, Dato? S. Thanarajasingam. The Yang DiPertua Negeri Melaka was also accompanied by Rt. Hon. Datuk Seri Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rastam, Chief Minister of Melaka and wife; the Hon. Datuk Wira Ismail Saleh, State Secretary of Melaka and several senior state government officers.
2. On 23 June 2007, His Excellency Tun Datuk Seri Utama Mohd Khalil Yaakob and delegation visited the historic Chateau de Versailles and met with Malaysian students from Paris. The delegation of the Governor of Malacca also attended a dinner hosted by H.E. Ambassador Dato? S. Thanarajasingam on 24 June 2007, as well met several French investors whom had invested in Malacca.
3. His Excellency Tun Datuk Seri Utama Mohd Khalil Yaakob and delegation also had a meeting with two officials from the Paris-based Organisation for Economic and Cooperation Development (OECD) i.e. Mr. Paul Schreyer, OECD?s Head of Prices and Structural Economic Statistics and Mr. Frédéric Langer, Counsellor for Asia and Latin America, Centre for Cooperation with Non-Members.
4. His Excellency Tun Datuk Seri Utama Mohd Khalil Yaakob and delegation departs Paris for Kuala Lumpur on 25 June 2007.
