HARI RAYA OPEN HOUSE IN LONDON, 20 SEPTEMBER 2009

Over 2,000 Malaysians and other nationals attended the Hari Raya Open House hosted by the High Commissioner, HE Datuk Abd Aziz Mohammed and Datin Munah Abd Razak at Rumah Malaysia, Sunday, 20th September 2009.

Datuk High Commissioner and Datin Munah mingled with the crowd and greeted the many guests. The sunny Sunday brought special warmth to the occasion with the ladies in colourful baju kurung and the gentlemen in baju Melayu. It was also the place for Malaysians from outside the London area to greet their friends and wish them Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Varieties of Malaysian food, including chicken satay, nasi minyak, ayam masak merah, beef rendang, sayur lodeh, nasi impet, kuah kacang, lemang, serunding, vegetarian dalca, hari raya cookies and cakes were served  

The event was from 1pm to 5pm, but guests stayed on till late. Earlier in the morning over 800 Malaysians gathered at the High Commission in Belgrave Square for Eid-ul-Fitri prayers.
