DINNER IN HONOUR OF THE MTCP ALUMNI MEMBERS AT THE OFFICIAL RESIDENCE, CONAKRY 16TH APRIL 2009.

 A dinner for MTCP Alumni members, Guinea Chapter was hosted on 16^{th April 2009 at the Official Residence of the Malaysian Ambassador. About 40 Alumni members and guests attended the dinner. The Guest of Honour at the dinner was Mr. Bala Moussa CAMARA, Secretary General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Guinea Abroad, Guinea. Other invited guests were Ambassadors from Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone and Liberia. Also present was Dr. Lenoude BANGALAY, President of the MTCP Alumni, Guinea Chapter. During the course of the dinner, Malaysian foods were served.}

^{TYT Dato’ Ambassador in his speech at the dinner told the guests and the MTCP Alumni members that the members have grown quite considerably. The Republic of Guinea has actively participated in the MTCP in August 1993. The training has indeed helped Guinean Officials to meet a major need of building their capacity which is indispensable to their development programme and the enhancement of their productivity of their officials and people. TYT Dato’ Ambassador said that, Malaysia has the policy to increase cooperation between the South, to have a win-win agreement and to prosper thy neighbours.}

^{His Excellency Mr. Bala Moussa CAMARA, in response thanked the Malaysian Government for offering the MTCP to Guinean officials. According to him, the Guinean Government strongly supports the programme and the lofty ideals and was very much impressed with Malaysia’s development programme and economic potential of the latter. His Excellency Mr. Bala Moussa CAMARA has informed the gathering that the Guinean Officials will continue to participate in the MTCP.}

^{Dr. Lenoude BANGALAY, President of the MTCP Alumni in his remarks told the gathering that the MTCP Alumni members look forward to working with our Embassy in the coming years to achieve the goals of our MTCP. Despite the language barrier, he reckons that many of the ex-participants have benefited from the training programmes and the officials remain as productive and eager to work harder. The programme has helped to foster friendships and networking.}
