On Saturday 08 October 2022, the Embassy of Malaysia in Conakry in collaboration with a local NGO called All Children in School (ACIS) organized a visit to the locality of Madia, in the city of Boffa. The objective of the visit was to obtain first-hand information and to see the reality on the ground on the hardship faced by the underprivileged student and the deplorable living conditions of the locals in the area.
During the visit, the Embassy officials also handed over stationeries and essential items to the under privileged students and the locals as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by the Embassy. The ceremony was witnessed by the locals, elders of the area and the Director of Education of Boffa.
The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. and the Director of Education of Boffa also took the opportunity to discuss on the challenges faced by the education sector in Boffa. The Charge d’ Affaires a.i. assured the Director General that the Embassy will do its utmost to assist the underprivileged students in Boffa in whichever way possible. The spouses of the Embassy also partake the event by conducting cooking-demo to the local ladies there.
